My name is Shashi Kant Mishra, and I am applying for the position of Third Officer in your esteemed company.

I am a certified Second Mate (FG) officer with 12 months of sea-time on board container vessels, having sailed on KOTA CEMPAKA (6600 TEU) and KOTA LUMAYAN (4250 TEU) as a Deck Cadet. I have successfully cleared my Second Mate (FG) Certificate of Competency, issued by the Government of India, along with a valid GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate.

I am well-versed in navigation, bridge watchkeeping, ECDIS, RADAR/ARPA operations, passage planning, ship stability, GMDSS operations, cargo handling, and COLREG compliance. I also hold updated STCW mandatory and advanced certificates, including PSCRB, AFF, MFA, ROSC, ARPA, and ECDIS.

Academically, I have completed my B.Sc. in Nautical Science from HIMT College, Chennai with 85%, and have been consistently recognized for strong technical understanding, communication skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities.

Apart from professional training, I have actively participated in various maritime events, quizzes, conferences, and sports activities, which have helped me build discipline, confidence, and team spirit.

With my training, certification, and hands-on experience on container vessels, I am confident in my ability to perform responsibly as a Third Officer and contribute positively to Marshall Shipping Company.
