Owners running chemical tankers prefer officers who already know the ship type and hold the right endorsements, so vessel-specific experience is a real advantage.
What you need
A valid MEO Class 1 or 2 Certificate of Competency, a full current STCW suite, and Advanced Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations. A valid medical certificate and relevant sea time complete the picture.
