Certificates and requirements
- A valid MEO Class 4 Certificate of Competency
- STCW: Basic Safety Training, Advanced Fire Fighting, engine watch rating
- A valid medical certificate and completed cadet / trainee sea time
- Tanker familiarisation for tanker work
