ARPA is run by 6 approved institutes in Delhi NCR. Two publish fees, Rs 6,000 to Rs 27,000. Next batch 21 September at SEI Educational Trust Faridabad. International Maritime Institute also runs it with ROC and ECDIS together for Rs 28,000.
Automatic Radar Plotting Aids training covers the use of ARPA for collision avoidance: acquiring and tracking targets, interpreting vectors and trial manoeuvres, understanding the errors and limitations of the system, and applying the collision regulations to what the display shows.
Required for navigating officers.
