CHEMCO is run by 7 approved institutes in Chennai region. Three publish fees, Rs 9,000 to Rs 11,000. Next batch 5 October at Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training. AMET City College also runs it with GASCO together for Rs 18,000, Rs 900 less than booking both separately.
Advanced Training for Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations covers the same responsibility for chemical carriers, where the cargo list runs to hundreds of substances with different hazards. It covers compatibility and segregation, tank coatings and materials, cargo handling and cleaning procedures, toxicity and reactivity, and emergency response.
Required for officers with cargo responsibility on chemical tankers.
