Graduate Marine Engineering is the one-year conversion course for those who already hold a mechanical engineering degree and want to go to sea. It adds the marine-specific knowledge and workshop skills a shore engineering degree does not cover — marine machinery, shipboard systems, safety and watchkeeping.
