MC is run by 7 approved institutes in Chennai region. Two publish fees, Rs 8,500 to Rs 9,900. Next batch 12 October at AMET City College. AMET City College also runs it with RANSCO together for Rs 16,500.
Medical Care qualifies a senior officer to take charge of medical care aboard a ship without a doctor. It covers detailed examination, use of the ship's medical chest and medical guide, giving injections, suturing, managing childbirth and death at sea, and directing others through radio medical advice.
Required for masters and officers with medical responsibility. Refresh every five years.
