Owners running lng carriers prefer officers who already know the ship type and hold the right endorsements, so vessel-specific experience is a real advantage.
What you need
A valid Chief Mate (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency, a full current STCW suite, and Advanced Gas Tanker Cargo Operations, plus high-voltage or dual-fuel training where required. A valid medical certificate and relevant sea time complete the picture.
