PSSR is run by 81 approved institutes. Four publish fees, Rs 4,315 to Rs 4,900. Next batch 14 September at Hoon Maritime Institute. Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training also runs it with BST, FPFF and PST together for Rs 9,900.
Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities is the course about living and working aboard. It covers emergency procedures and alarm signals, safe working practice, pollution prevention, fatigue, drug and alcohol policy, and getting on with a crew of several nationalities in a confined space for months.
