About

NUSI Maritime Academy, established in 1993 in Chinchinim, Goa, trains candidates for merchant navy careers through GP Rating and CCMC courses, along with STCW training. Located 13 km from Margao on a 35-acre campus, it was founded by the National Union of Seafarers of India and the ITF to address India's seafarer shortage after government ratings institutions closed in 1983.
