Personal Survival Techniques teaches what to do when a ship has to be abandoned. Trainees learn to don an immersion suit and lifejacket in the water, board and right a liferaft, survive in cold water, and use rescue equipment. Almost all of it is practical, conducted in a pool or survival tank.
